Maca is a plant that comes from the mountainous regions of South America, which acts at the level of the endocrine system, providing the substances necessary to maintain hormone balance. By sterols and glycosides, it maintains the balance of the female hormones, reducing the physical and psychological discomfort associated with the menstrual cycle, menopause-related symptoms (hot flashes, irritability), by acting directly on the pituitary gland and the ovaries. Also known as the “Peruvian ginseng”, it has beneficial effects on the sexual dynamics, being renowned for increasing the sexual desire, the libido and male sexual performance.
