Valerian Tea – for relaxation and nervous balance
Composition:
Valerian roots (Rhizoma Valerianae).
Active principles:
Valerian root is rich in active compounds such as volatile oils, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, terpenoids, sesquiterpenes, salicylic acid, carbohydrates, flavonoids, tannins, resins and coumarins.
Therapeutic action:
It has a calming effect on the nervous and cardiac systems, acts as an antiseptic and antispasmodic.
Recommendations:
Internally administered, valerian tea is indicated for:
neurovegetative dystonia
insomnia and sleep difficulties
nervousness or anxiety
palpitations
stomach cramps of nervous origin
menopause-related disorders
heart diseases with a nervous background
presence of intestinal worms
Directions for administration:
Infusion: pour boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of valerian root (approx. 250 ml). Cover and leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes. It is recommended to consume 1-2 cups per day, preferably in the evening, for a peaceful sleep.
Contraindications:
None are known at the recommended doses.
