Description:

Tablets made of Boswellia serrata (Indian incense) resin with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Originally from India, North Africa and the Middle East, boswellia (Boswelia serrata) is a tree whose resin has been used for over 5000 years in the Ayurvedic medicine to treat various diseases, because of its special therapeutic properties. The resin of Boswellia serrata is “Indian incense,” known in the Orient as “olibanum” and in the Occident as ”incense”. There are many species of boswellia, but only four of them produce resin.
In the Middle Ages, it was used to treat plague, while in traditional Chinese medicine it was used to treat leprosy, cancer and rheumatic diseases, and Hindu doctors recommend it for treating arthritis and ulcerative colitis.

Ingredients:
boswellia (Boswellia serrata) – 500mg – extract 10:1

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, aerosil

Ingredients: α and β-boswellia acids, monoterpenes (α-thujenă), diterpenes (incensol, serratol), triterpenes (α and β-amirină) boswellia oil (consisting of cadinene, camphene, olibanol, dipentene, pinene, felandren) etc.

Effects:
anti-inflammatory (because of boswellia acids), strong analgesic, it reduces morning stiffness (the feeling of painful musculoskeletal stiffness), it reduces gastrointestinal inflammation and tissue damage that occur in cases of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, anti-asthmatic (inhibition of leukotriene biosynthesis), antitumoral (it reduces intracranial tumors or edema caused by the presence of these tumors), immunostimulatory, lipid-lowering, cholesterol lowering, sedative, emmenagogue.

Side Effects: the product is generally well tolerated; rarely, digestive disorders manifest, nausea, diarrhea, or stomach hiperciditate may occur.

Indications:

It is used as an adjunct in the treatment of: rheumatoid arthritis, chronic degenerative rheumatism (arthrosis, spondylosis), tendomyositis scapulohumeral, muscle pain, neuralgia, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, asthma, brain tumors.

Directions for Use:

Adults: take 1 tablet twice a day, before meals.
Children aged 12  to 18 years: take half a tablet twice a day, before meals.

Contraindications:

pregnancy, allergy to boswellia.
