Potassium plays an essential role in the proper functioning of the neuromuscular system, contributing to the transmission of nerve impulses and the contraction of muscles, including the heart.

Indications:

Potassium is an indispensable alkaline metal for the body, present in 95% of the cells, mostly in the form of positively charged ions. It participates in the electrical processes at the level of the cell membrane, essential for the generation of cellular energy.

By regulating the electrolyte balance, potassium:

Supports the activity of the nervous system and muscles;

Regulates heart rate and blood pressure;

Contributes to maintaining body weight, by eliminating sodium from cells and reducing fluid retention;

Supports kidney function and metabolic processes involving proteins and carbohydrates;

Stimulates insulin secretion.

Potassium deficiency (hypokalemia) can lead to: fatigue, muscle cramps, nausea, loss of appetite, bloating, constipation, insomnia, confusion, irritability, cardiac arrhythmias.

Common causes of potassium deficiency:

Excessive consumption of alcohol, coffee, sugar, laxatives, anti-inflammatory treatments, cortisone or diets with high salt intake. The imbalance of the sodium/potassium ratio is associated with an increased risk of heart attack, osteoporosis, kidney stones and hypertension.

How to administer:

Adults: 5 ml, 1–4 times a day, or as recommended by a specialist.

For children: the dose is adjusted proportionally to body weight.

5 ml of solution contain:

156 mg of potassium (7.8% of the VNR for a 70 kg adult).

For measurement, you can use the dosing cap, a teaspoon (approximately 2.5 ml) or the bottle cap (approximately 7 ml after removing the seal).

Storage recommendations:

Store in the original packaging, in a cool, dry place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. The bottle must be closed between uses.
