Description:
Shepherd’s Purse Tincture is a hydroalcoholic solution, obtained through cold preparation from the aerial parts of the plant Capsella bursa-pastoris, which is used in traditional medicine to stop bleeding.
Among plant products administrated orally, hydroalcoholic solutions (tinctures) are the most easily assimilated; the effects appear shortly. In comparison with the traditional methods of production, Dacia Plant uses a repeated extraction process that results in a hydroalcoholic extract which is with 35% more concentrated.
Effects:
Internal effects:
vasoconstrictor, astringent, antihaemorrhagic, anti-diarrhoeal, anti-inflammatory, regulating blood pressure, slightly diuretic, antiseptic, emmenagogue, it causes the strong contraction of the uterine muscles.
External effects: astringent, hemostatic, anti-inflammatory.
Indications
Internal use:
It is used as an adjunct against: uterine bleeding (heavy menstruation, uterine bleeding), bleeding of various origins, dysmenorrhea, hypertension and hypotension, diarrhea, venous insufficiency, varicose veins, haemorrhoids.
External use:
It is used as an adjunct against: haemorrhoids, bleeding superficial wounds.
Contraindications:
Due to the alcohol content, it is not recommended against: viral hepatitis, toxic and metabolic steatosis, cirrhosis, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It is not recommended for people suffering from blood hypercoagulability, shepherd’s purse allergy, or for people who follow treatments that do not allow alcohol consumption.
Precautions:
People suffering from hyperacid gastritis and gastric and duodenal ulcers should take it with caution (due to its alcohol content, it can increase gastric acid).
Ingredients:

The product contains no preservatives and colouring agents.
Chemical composition:
The vegetable product contains: flavonoids (7- rutinoside of quercetin and luteolin and 7-galactoside luteola), glucosinolates (sinigroside), vitamin C, potassium, amino acids, peptides, aliphatic acids and polyphenol (chlorogenic, vanillic, syringic, fumaric acid) and so on.
Directions for Use:
Internal use:
Adults: take 1 teaspoon of tincture diluted in 100 ml (half a glass) of water, 3-4 times daily, on an empty stomach.
External use:
Apply the diluted solution on the affected area. The diluted solution is obtained by adding 1 teaspoon of tincture in 100ml (half a cup) of water.
