Senna (Cassia angustifolia) is an annual legume widely cultivated in southern India for its fruits (pods) and leaves, used for centuries in both traditional Ayurvedic and modern medicine.

Direction of administration
Adults: 1 capsule per day, taken with an adequate amount of water, preferably in the evening, before bedtime.
The laxative effect usually occurs 8–10 hours after administration.

Precautions
Exceeding the recommended dose may cause abdominal cramps or diarrhea.
