Traditional uses:
Licorice is traditionally used as an adjuvant in: bronchitis, pharyngitis, cough, constipation, hyperacid gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, kidney and gallstones, rheumatism, arthritis, menopausal and menstrual disorders. It is also appreciated as a natural sweetener and flavoring.
Composition:
Licorice roots (Glycyrrhiza glabra L., fam. Leguminosae)
Active principles:
Contains triterpene saponosides, flavones, chalcones, coumarins, sterols, polyholosides, sugars, starch, resins, proteins and mineral substances.

Anti-inflammatory
Diuretic
Expectorant and emollient
Fluidifying bronchial secretions
Antiulcerative and healing
Antispastic
Estrogenic
Analgesic
Bacteriostatic
Immunostimulator
Laxative or purgative (depending on the dose)
Directions for use:
Internal: Prepare an infusion of one teaspoon of the product in 250 ml of boiling water. Cover the container and leave to infuse for 10–15 minutes, then strain. Consume 2–3 cups per day.

Cardio-renal edema
Cirrhosis
Cholestasis
Chronic renal colic
Obesity
Hypokalemia
⚠️ Licorice should not be used in case of hypertension without medical advice and should not be administered concomitantly with corticosteroids.
